It looks like State Senator Julian Cyr will have some competition in his re-election campaign this year.
Marstons Mills resident Christopher Lauzon has filed papers with the office of Campaign and Political Finance to run as a Republican for Cape and Islands State Senator.
The primary election is in September, the General Election in November.
