School mask mandates are being scaled back on the outer Cape.
The Banner reports masks became optional this week for vaccinated people in the main Provincetown school building, while masks remain highly-recommended for those who are unvaccinated, according to the Superintendent.
Masks will still be required in certain settings in Provincetown schools, including preschool and pre-kindergarten classes and on buses with riders who are under five years old.
The newspaper reports a mask requirement was lifted for the Truro Central School last week.
