A second candidate is running for Barnstable County Sheriff.
The Enterprise reports the entry into the race is from Donna Buckley, who has served as General Counsel for the Sheriff's Office the last four years.
Buckley, of Falmouth, is running as a democrat.
State Representative Timothy Whelan, a republican, is also running to replace longtime GOP incumbent James Cummings.
