A Barnstable Police Officer is being recognized by U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland for innovations in community policing.
Officer Danielle St. Peter was awarded on Thursday at the fifth annual Attorney General's Award for Distinguished Service.
A total of 20 officers from across the country were recognized.
