Tiger Sharks Move Further North

We’ve been dealing with Great White sharks in the waters off the Cape and northeast for a long time, but now, a new apex predator may be coming to the neighborhood.

The Boston Herald reports that scientists from the University of Miami found that cold blooded Tiger sharks prefer warmer water but the temperature of the oceans is increasing in northern waters.

As a result, the study finds that Tigers have been migrating further north to areas once far too cold for them.

The warming temperatures are a result of climate change according to scientists.
