Cape Cod and the Islands are under a high wind warning from the National Weather Service from 11 a.m. today to 5 a.m. Saturday.
Winds out of the north at 40 to 50 miles per hour with gusts up to 70 are expected.
The weather service is tracking a storm that's expected to impact southern New England Sunday night into Monday.
Eversource spokesman Chris McKinnon says the company is monitoring the track of the impending weather and is preparing crews and equipment in advance and will have resources available to respond to any issues.
