Martha's Vineyard Officials Propose Island-Wide Bank

Five of the six towns on Martha’s Vineyard are forging ahead with a town meeting proposal to establish an island-wide housing bank.

The Edgartown and West Tisbury select boards took votes this week to put the proposal on the town meeting warrant.

The Vineyard Gazette reports the Oak Bluffs board will make a decision next week.

The housing bank would need further approval from the state legislature.
