Gov. Baker announced a series of steps Tuesday to address rising Covid-19 cases and staff shortages at hospitals and testing sites.
However, he says he has no plans to implement a statewide mask mandate this holiday season because tools that weren’t available last year, such as the vaccine and booster, have proven effective in fighting the virus.
The state department of public health updated its mask advisory Tuesday, recommending that all individuals — regardless of vaccination status — wear a mask or face covering in indoor, public spaces.
