Holtec International is confirming reports that it will not be dumping that leftover water from Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station in Plymouth into Cape Cod Bay next year.
Spokesperson Patrick O’Brien says questions were raised by environmental advocacy groups following last month’s Citizens Advisory panel meeting, where he mentioned it as a possibility.
He says Holtec never walked plans to dump the water back because those plans were never finalized.
