State Education Commissioner Jeff Riley says a decision on the school mask mandate will be announced next week.
The issue is whether masks will still be required in Massachusetts schools after November 1st.
9 schools have requested waivers from the mandate because at least 80% of their students and staff are vaccinated against Coronavirus.
Four waivers have been approved so far.
