For the first time since 2019, the Boston Marathon is being held today.
There are pandemic protocols including fewer runners, all participants must show proof of vaccination or a recent negative test result, and a rolling start an hour earlier than usual will take place to space runners out.
Spectators along the marathon route are also urged to wear masks, especially in areas where they are bunched together.
