Racial Incident At Martha's Vineyard Camp Under Investigation

A possible racial incident involving several children is rattling the Martha’s Vineyard community. 

The MV Times reports the apparent incident happened at a summer camp at the Chilmark Community Center. 

Members of the camp community were informed that two white boys who were eight and nine years old placed a tent strap around the neck of an eight-year-old black boy, causing an abrasion. 

The Martha’s Vineyard NAACP released a statement calling the event reprehensible and said it is investigating.
