A possible racial incident involving several children is rattling the Martha’s Vineyard community.
The MV Times reports the apparent incident happened at a summer camp at the Chilmark Community Center.
Members of the camp community were informed that two white boys who were eight and nine years old placed a tent strap around the neck of an eight-year-old black boy, causing an abrasion.
The Martha’s Vineyard NAACP released a statement calling the event reprehensible and said it is investigating.
