The USDA and local wildlife officials are ready to distribute another round of oral rabies vaccine baits across Cape Cod, from Bourne to Brewster.
It’s in response to the Cape’s first raccoon rabies case in over 8 years.
USDA wildlife Biologist Brian Bjorkland says the baits look like small ketchup packets and they’re wrapped in fishmeal.
The rabies vaccine baits will be dropped by both helicopter and car starting next week.
