A Martha’s Vineyard septic waste removal service is being warned not to have a repeat of an incident earlier this month when it deposited waste back to a customer.
Maciel and Sons of Vineyard Haven was fined $500 and had its license suspended for 15 days at an Edgartown Board of Health meeting this week.
The incident a town residential property was apparently caused by a billing dispute.
The town health agent called the action inappropriate and said the company violated a state law on waste disposal.
