The Sandwich Zoning Board of Appeals is approving a special permit for a bicycle motocross course.
The Enterprise reports the board at a meeting this week unanimously supported the permit for the new course to be built off Quaker Meetinghouse Road.
Cape Cod BMX has operated a BMX track at Joint Base Cape Cod, but the military base is looking into other uses for the property.
The company says the goal is to have construction of the new course in Sandwich finished by the summer.
