The Center for Coastal Studies is reporting the first right whale calf of the season has arrived in Cape Cod Bay.
The mother whale named "Millipede" and her three-month-old calf were first seen off the coast of Florida last December.
They were spotted in Cape Cod Bay on Wednesday.
It is estimated that there are only about 350 North Atlantic Right Whales remaining as the animals continue to face constant threats from ship strikes and fishing gear.
