Boston Mayor Marty Walsh is pledging to work hard as the next U.S. Secretary of Labor.
Walsh was nominated by President-elect Joe Biden to the position yesterday, ending weeks of speculation over whether he was leaving for Washington.
Walsh says working people, labor unions and those fighting for a shot at the middle class are the backbone of the economy and the country.
He says as Labor Secretary, he will work as hard for their families and livelihoods.
