Martha's Vineyard Public Schools students and staff returning to in-person classes this month are facing mandatory Coronavirus-testing.
The Vineyard Gazette reports funding was recently secured for the Island-wide testing program from the Martha's Vineyard Savings Bank charitable foundation and the Island nonprofit MV-Youth; the schools are also contributing to the cost.
The testing will be saliva-based and the initiative is considered to be "surveillance testing".
