Cape and Islands voters are deciding on their Congressman today.
William Keating has represented the area since 2011 and is looking to keep that run going as he faces two challengers in today's Ninth District race.
They are Republican Helen Brady and independent candidate Michael Manley.
Neither has previously held political office.
In the Massachusetts legislature, one Senate race and three House races from the Cape are part of today's election.
In the Plymouth and Barnstable District, incumbent Democrat Susan Moran is challenged by Republican James McMahon.
In the House, Republicans Timothy Whelan and Will Crocker are running for re-election in the First and Second Barnstable Districts. Their respective Democratic challengers are Josh Mason and Kip Diggs.
Republican Fifth Barnstable District Representative Randy Hunt is not running again. The hopefuls for his seat are Democrat James Dever and Republican Steven Xiarhos.
Four candidates are running for two Barnstable County commissioner seats today.
The only incumbent is Republican Ron Beaty Jr., who refers to himself as the "Donald Trump of Cape Cod".
Beaty along with independent candidate Abe Kasparian have both served time in prison; Beaty for threatening to kill then-President George H.W. Bush and others, and Kasparian for the attempted murder of his wife.
The other candidates are Yarmouth select board chair and former Provincetown manager Mark Forest and former Barnstable commissioner Sheila Lyons, both Democrats.
Two candidates are running for a Barnstable Town Council seat today.
Nikolas Atsalis and Jeffrey Swartz are seeking to complete the term of Britt Beedenbender, who stepped down earlier this year.
Swartz touts an advantage in political experience, serving as the vice chair of the Barnstable Planning Board.
