Several sea turtle deaths were reported in the Martha’s Vineyard area this weekend.
Two dead turtles washed up on island beaches and one other which had been struck by a vessel was seen in Vineyard Sound, according to a report from the Vineyard Gazette.
They were two leatherbacks and one loggerhead.
This follows the discovery of a leatherback that was found dead from a vessel strike at west chop the previous weekend.
