Teachers Urged To Receive Flu Shot Before End Of Year

Some members of the medical community in the state are urging the Department of Public Health to extend its flu shot mandate for students through to teachers as well.

Students, according to the mandate are required to get a flu shot by the end of the year.

Doctors say vaccinating teachers would make added sense and provide another level of protection.

State law allows for the mandate for students but for no one else in the system.
