The Cape and Islands reported three new Coronavirus cases and zero fatalities over the weekend. Barnstable County is now at 1,585 cases, while the Islands are up to 88. Two of those new Coronavirus cases on Nantucket are being linked to a beach party that was attended by many young people last Monday. Public health officials say contact tracing is underway, and anyone who attended the party August 17th is urged to get tested as soon as possible. Nantucket officials say the irresponsible behavior threatens the relative safety the island has enjoyed since the Coronavirus pandemic began.
