Barnstable Police are asking residents who used the Gulf Gas Station of Route 28 in Cotuit to buy gas during June, July and August to check their statements.
Officials say skimmers were found on some of the pumps and personal information may have been compromised.
You are asked to call Barnstable Police if you fell victim to the scheme. No arrests have been made.
Gas Stations are being asked to check pumps periodically.
