Wareham Police say an 81 year old woman from Buzzards Bay died after being pulled from the waters near Cleveland Way.
Police Chief John Walcek says citizens were performing CPR on the woman who was later taken to Tobey Hospital.
She was pronounced dead a short time later.
The Chief says that Maria Moitoso died from an accidental drowning however the case remains under investigation.
