Efforts are continuing to better-detect great white sharks on Cape Cod.
Local shark-tagger Dr. Gregory Skomal says the first receiver that detects tagged sharks in real time went out on Tuesday, according to a report from WBZ-TV.
A half-dozen such devices in total will be installed this year.
Skomal says this is still experimental technology and that testing could take a year.
