The Animal Rescue League teaming up with Edgartown Police and Animal Control officials to arrest a woman at a home in town.
Officials say they recovered 65 cats. Many in desperate need of care. A 48 year old woman, Jennifer Winsper, described as a cat breeder is charged with felony animal cruelty.
She has not been arraigned yet. Officials say they got a tip beginning last year that sick cats were being sold off the island. No other information available.
Police are not saying specifically were the Edgartown home is.
