There is a lot of concern that the pandemic and the nicer weather is going to get in the way of an accurate count of Cape residents this year.
2020 is a census year and officials have launched a social media campaign #CountCapeCod to encourage people to fill out the census.
There is a growing concern that Barnstable, Dukes and Nantucket counties are reporting lower response rates.
That is troublesome, since down the road federal funding is based on population.
