State Senator Julian Cyr says he is supporting a bill which would require daily reporting from the State Health Department on Covid-19 cases coming out of nursing homes and assisted living centers.
The Senator says that the idea would be to better track cases and insure that employees at those facilities receive the proper protective equipment that they need.
The bill in the senate differs from a House version of the measure which would include the Holyoke and Chelsea Soldier Homes.
The senate version makes no reference to those facilities.
