Hyannis Woman Sentenced To Jail On Counterfeiting Charges

A 37 year old Hyannis woman has been sentenced to two months in jail on counterfeiting charges.

Carolyn Pearce was arrested on charges that she walked into a Barnstable Road Cumberland Farms and tried to buy a bottle of water and cigarettes with a phony C-Note.

A clerk used a detector pen to spot the bad bill. Pearce had initially claimed that she got the bill from a bank but couldn’t remember which one.
