David Panagore has resigned his post as an alternate on the Provincetown Finance Committee.
Panagore resigned as Town Manager to take a position with the MBTA. Then he was tapped as an alternate on the Finance Committee.
But two residents questioned his appointment because of a charter provision that required town employees to be at least a year removed before returning to a town board.
Panagore says that he doesn’t want to be a concern so he is simply stepping down.
