The Deputy Yarmouth Police Chief has announced his retirement from the force after more than 40 years.
Deputy Chief Steven Xiarhos says his last day on the force will be December 8th.
He has not indicated what he will do in retirement although there has been widespread speculation that he is considering a political run.
The Yarmouth Town Council honored the Deputy Chief with a proclamation.
