It looks like a third of the new Firefighters Recruiting class will be bound for The Cape with most headed to the Plymouth Fire Department. 30 men and two women graduated yesterday.
Officials at the State Fire Training Academy tell us that unlike past years, firefighters are doing more than fighting fires.
They are first to respond at chemical spills, accidents and overdoses.
The local recruits will go through local training now before being sworn in.
