Road work is expected to pick up after Labor Day.
On Tuesday, major road construction projects are scheduled to begin in Barnstable, Marstons Mills and Hyannis.
In addition, the Mass DOT is kicking off a nearly two-year intersection projected on Thursday at Route 28 and West Barnstable Road.
