The experts say that August marks the start of the peak time for shark activity on The Cape and it will go right through October.
In July alone, The Sharktivity App reported 120 sightings.
The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy says that people should not swim in water past waste deep regardless of whether or not there has been a sighting or not.
