The Massachusetts Congressional Delegation has banded together to file a measure that could ensure much needed funding for a replacement for the Bourne and Sagamore Bridges.
The funding would be part of the so called "Escape Act". If passed it would provide a billion dollars a year for communities to enhance and expand escape routes out of an area.
The bridges are nearly a hundred years old. No timetable for passage yet.
