The State Department of Public Health is out with the latest report on opioids. It's a Mixed bag of figures.

The report says overall the number of deaths from opioids is declining however more women died last year from overdoses than men.

It also notes that through the first quarter of this year although there were 519 thousand opioid prescriptions written, that is less than last year in the same period.

And, the report says Falmouth showed a notable decrease in opioid overdoses while Barnstable showed a notable increase.
