Attorney General's Office Strikes Down Brewster Pot Shop Ban
4/3/19
Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey is striking down a recreational marijuana ban in Brewster.
The ban was passed in the form of a general bylaw at a town meeting in December.
The decision from the A.G.’s Office is largely based on a recent land court decision affecting a proposed pot shop in Charlton, in Worcester County.
The decision is considered a win by the multiple marijuana businesses that are looking to open in Brewster.
