White Ribbon Day
3/20/19
Thursday marks the 12th annual statewide, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, “White Ribbon Day” campaign.
This national campaign calls on men and boys to stand up in solidarity and take a pledge to wear a white ribbon and be part of a positive change movement by saying “No” to violence against women and girls and all gender based violence.
From 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. tomorrow members of the Cape Cod Community College Police Department will join with police departments across Cape Cod, the Cape and Islands District Attorney and Independence House to take the “White Ribbon Day” pledge that says: “From this day forward, I promise to be a part of the solution in ending violence against women.”
Cape Cod Community College will host the event. Men and boys, as well as the general public, are invited and encouraged to attend.
