Dennis Police Department to Hold R.A.D. Course

The Dennis Police Department will be offering a Rape, Aggression, Defense (R.A.D.) Course for women starting in April. The R.A.D. course is a 12-hour certification class taught in 4 segments with class dates of April 23, 25, 29 and May 2nd. All classes are held from 6:00pm to 9:00pm each night in the Dennis Police Department Community Room, located at 90 Bob Crowell Road in South Dennis.

Rape, Aggression, Defense (R.A.D.) is a specific course designed to provide educational opportunities as well as realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women. Portions of this course will be hands on. This course is taught by Dennis Police Officers that are nationally certified R.A.D. instructors.

Interested applicants must be women ages 18+ and preference will be given to Dennis residents. This course is free of charge and the number of participants will be capped at 12. Attendance is required for all classes. The deadline to register is April 15, 2019.
