Chatham/Fish Pier Construction

The reconstruction of the Chatham Fish Pier observation deck is underway with crews staging equipment and materials and beginning demolition activities.
The project includes replacement of the underground fuel storage tanks located in the upper parking lot.
Access to the entirety of the lower lot, the fish pier packing building and most of the upper lot will be closed to the general public during the construction project.
A portion of the upper lot, along the south-side, will remain open for limited parking, providing access to the Wharfinger Building, upper viewing deck, restrooms and the fisherman’s monument.
The project is scheduled to be completed by the middle of May.
