Barnstable DPW/Road Work

The Barnstable Department of Public Works and their Contractor Robert B. Our, is scheduled to construct drainage improvements in South Street near Sea Street beginning on Wednesday.
The work is expected to take about two weeks to complete and is planned in two phases.
The first phase will be work on South Street, between Newton and Sea Streets. The second phase will be work within the intersection of South and Sea Streets and will involve reducing South Street to a single lane through the work zone.
Both phases will involve detours so travelers in those areas should leave extra time to get to their destination.
The work hours will be between 7 A.M. and 3:30 P.M. Monday through Saturday.
