Several businesses and organizations on Cape Cod have reached out to federal workers whose lives have been turned upside down because of the partial federal government shutdown.
The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod and the Cape Cod 5 have both said they will offer those workers special zero-interest loans as well as provide other assistance. Meanwhile, the Family Pantry of Cape Cod is providing food to members of the U.S. Coast Guard and their families.
