Dancing for a Cure Cape Cod 9th Annual Dance Marathon

Hundreds of dance enthusiasts of all ages from on and off the Cape, will dance OR cheer for 4 hours in Mashpee to raise funds for vital research of breast and ovarian cancer at the DanaFarber Cancer Institute. Music of the decades provided by #1 DJ Cape Tunes.

Guest appearances by Miss Massachusetts 2018, Gabrielle Taveras, The NE Patriots Cheerleaders, JT the ‘Mayor of Cape Cod’, and Celebrity emcee,The Fat Ass Cancer Bit#!, Christine Ernst.

For the first time, The Kindness Rock Project will be join us at the event. While taking a dance break, marathoners and spectators can paint rocks with inspirational words and phrases.

Our popular Free-Style Dance Battle, officiated by JT, is open to anyone in attendance, and will raise additional funds in just fifteen minutes!

Some of the youth and adult groups attending and/or performing; Cape Cod Country Kickers, Ballroom Bliss of Yarmouth, Center Stage Dance of Plymouth and Sagamore, Beth Walsh Dance Centre of Osterville, Mashpee Community Connections Performers,Turning Pointe Dance Studio of Falmouth, A. Lovely Dance Studio of Mashpee, Harper Dance of Mashpee, Dream Studios of Yarmouth, Tabor Academy of Marion, The Riverview School of Sandwich, USA Fitness of Falmouth, and Carver Dance Center of Carver.

Raffles, Silent Auction, refreshments, face painting, and numerous trophy awards will be included at the event. Honorary Teams will dedicate dances to their ‘special someone’ throughout the evening.

This event is sponsored by generous donations from local businesses and individuals such as, The Cape Cod 5, Hematology Oncology Specialists of Cape Cod, Wendy’s LLC,Tracy Volkswagen, The Dancer’s Place, the Oxford Fund, Down Cape Engineering, Crosby Yacht Yard, Down Cape Engineering, and also supported by the FRIENDS of Dana-Farber.
