Shellfishing Closures Announced

Two shellfishing closures are being ordered on the Upper Cape.
Hamblin's Pond and the connecting Little River in Mashpee are both off-limits after an excavator reportedly fell into a septic tank on Monomoscoy Island, according to the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries.
The closure went into effect Tuesday.
