Wellfleet PD/Roll Over Accident

Wellfleet Police and Fire were dispatched to a single vehicle accident Tuesday morning on Route 6 near the Truro town line.
Upon arrival at the scene, police found a white Ford truck which appeared to have traveled up an embankment, striking a tree and then rolling over coming back down the embankment.
The sole occupant of the truck was treated at the scene and then transported to Marconi Headquarters where a Med Flight flew the unidentified man to an off Cape hospital. His injuries appeared to be non-life threatening.
A dog in the vehicle was taken to an Eastham veterinary service to be checked out and monitored.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Wellfleet Police Department.
