A former Dennis firefighter has been sentenced after being convicted in a case of domestic assault.
Sebastian Pessini, 29, of Yarmouth Port was sentenced to 2-1/2 years in the Barnstable County Correctional Facility with 15 months to serve and the remaining time suspended. Pessini was given credit for 125 days already served while in custody.
A jury found Pessini quilty of assault on a household member, subsequent offense, and intimidation of a witness. He was found not guilty of animal cruelty, assault and battery on a household member, subsequent offense, and strangulation.
