The causes and consequences of ocean acidification was front and center in Marstons Mills Tuesday afternoon as State Senator Julian Cyr and State Representative Dylan Fernandes held a joint news conference to discuss an amendment to the Environmental Bond Bill they co-sponsored and was signed into law by Governor Charlie Baker back in August.
As a result, a 17-member commission will now look into the causes of ocean and coastal acidification in addition to look for preventative measures in order to reduce its effect on fishing and the aquaculture industry.
