The Wellfleet Chamber of Commerce will host the Annual Guidebook Cover Competition, where artists will compete to create the 2019 cover of the Wellfleet Chamber Guidebook. Last year 24,000 copies of the Guidebook were printed and distributed to visitors in Wellfleet and across the Cape Cod region, the goal of the contest being to support artists and provide the winner with a unique opportunity to share their work with greater audience.
Entries for the competition art show will be on display to members and the general public at the Wellfleet Library from October 6 through October 26, at which time member ballots will be accepted at the exhibit during their normal operating hours.
There will be a reception for the artists at the Wellfleet Library on Thursday, October 18, from 5-7pm. Those in attendance will have a chance to meet the artists, view the submissions and cast their vote. This will be the only time that ballots cast by individuals who are not Chamber members will be accepted to acknowledge their choice for a “popular vote”.
The winners will be announced on October 24 and the first place entry will adorn the cover of the 2019 Wellfleet Chamber Guidebook.
