Environmental Police inspected and seized the catch of the fishing boat Haley Marie on Monday afternoon.
The inspection came around 1:30 at Packet’s Landing on the Bass River in Yarmouth.
On board the boat were four totes of whelk and after gauging the entire catch it was determined that almost 92% of the catch was undersized.
The permit holder was issued a summons to appear in Barnstable District Court and the undersized catch was seized and returned to the waters of Nantucket Sound.
